The Chaparral 224 Xtreme with its 18 degree deadrise angle on the transom is not as natural a towboat as the Mastercraft flat-bottomed tug, leaving a steep and steady wave behind the stern. But in terms of versatility of application, it leaves its competitors far behind the stern. The marine hull with a wide bow deck allows not to be afraid of sudden worsening of weather, and on the layout of inhabited space 224 Xtreme has no equal at all.
The bow anchor compartment hides a sliding gangway to go ashore, under the cushions of the U-shaped sofa hides lockers and a thermally insulated compartment for ice, aft sofas unfold into a large sun bed, under the sofa on the left side is a 24-liter refrigerator. On the starboard side behind the driver's seat there is a small wind-bar with a sink, in the passenger console, the designers managed to build a latrine with a porthole and a chemical toilet. So for rest on water 224 Xtreme is perfectly thought out.
An electric folding arch with holders, an electronic constant speed system and powerful engines are always at your service if you sometimes want to drive a wakeboarder. Even with the 300-horsepower Volvo Penta, the boat accelerates to 51.6 knots, but a 320-horsepower engine is also available. The wave required for a wakeboarder can be created by reducing the speed to 16-17 knots, adjusting the transom plates or simply landing all passengers on one board.
