Today, 5 November, the Volvo Ocean Race participants arrived in the port of Cape Town (South Africa). The Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing crew was the first to cross the finishing line, it took them 25 days, 3 hours and 10 minutes to get from Alicante. Second-placed finishers were Dongfeng Race Team (25 days, 3 hours and 22 minutes).
At the time of writing the rest of the teams have not yet finished, but third place will almost certainly go to Team Brunei and fourth to Team Vestas Wind. At the moment the fifth position is occupied by Team Alvimedicaand on the sixth - MAPFRE (crew representing Spain) and in seventh place are the brave sailors from Team SCA. Let us remind you that the first round of the round-the-world race started on November 11. The second stage will start in Cape Town on November 19: then the race participants will go to Abu Dhabi.
