Jetten has added the word shipyard to its name and launched a new beach series with a Van Oossanen Fast Displacement hull. The series was unveiled at the Dusseldorf Boat Show.

There will be six models in the beach series ranging from 45 to 85 feet. Two of them, Jetten beach 45 and Jetten beach 75, are available for order. The first hull of the smallest Jetten Beach is currently under construction.

Thanks to an aluminium Fast Displacement hull designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, the boats consume up to 20% less fuel and can reach speeds of up to 22 knots in displacement mode, even at high speeds without going to planing or requiring more engine power.

Yachts with this hull type use up to 20% less fuel at cruising speed than their semi-Displacement and displacement counterparts.

The Jetten beach 45, for example, is equipped with two 300 hp Volvo Penta D4s (top of the range). (the top option on offer), consumes 18.9 litres of fuel per hour at 9.3 knots. By comparison: A 44-foot steel displacement yacht with a Deutz 125 kW diesel at the same speed consumes 31.5 litres of fuel per hour.

Van Oossanen specialises in superyachts over 40 metres.

The Jetten beach series is currently the only boat on the market with a Fast Displacement hull that measures up to 25 meters.

The artistic design was developed by Cor D Rover, which also specializes in large yachts. The main concern was to create an onboard feeling of closeness to the water, thanks to the expansive panoramic windows, spacious outdoor seating areas and the use of natural materials in the finishes. The interior spaces are designed in a modern style with a choice of four different finishes.

Prices for the junior model, the 45-foot model «beachfront» series, start at 700,000 euros excluding VAT.
