The 70m yacht, formerly known as the «Comet project», has been given her name: Galactica Super Nova. The christening of the Dutch yard's largest yacht today took place at Heesen docks in Osse.

The exterior design is by Espen Øino and the interior design is by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design.

The luxurious and classic interiors of the Glactica Super Nova have been created by the designers in close collaboration with the owners. The yacht can accommodate up to 12 passengers per cruise. The four guest cabins are located on the lower deck, an impressive VIP cabin aft on the wheelhouse deck and a master suite on the main deck.

The living and dining areas are decorated in neutral light beige tones. The décor is dominated by various types of leather, from stingray leather to soft calfskin, and by stone, in particular marble and onyx.

The highlight of the interior is the central staircase with a so-called crystal lift that connects all decks.

At the forward end of the boat there is a garage for tenders and water toys, which allowed not to save space in the creation of the beach club. Aft on the main deck is a large pool with a waterfall and glass bottom, which allows plenty of natural light to flood the beach club below. Forward on the main deck is a helipad convertible into an open-air cinema.

Glactica Super Nova in Van Oossanen's Fast Displacement hull is equipped with twin MTU 20V4000 M93L engines and an auxiliary engine to power the jet propulsion to give the 70m yacht a top speed of over 30 knots. At 12 knots, she has a range of 4,000 miles.

After the christening ceremony the yacht will be tested in the North Sea before being delivered to her owner in Montenegro and will spend her first summer season in the Mediterranean. The boat can be seen in person at this year's Monaco Boat Show.
