Italian shipyard Arcadia Yachts has announced the transfer of the Arcadia 85S superyacht to an American owner. This is the first hull of a special version of the 85-foot model with a panoramic lounge.

Arcadia 85S is a family yacht with spacious decks. The interior is designed in an open space style with large floor-to-ceiling windows. With a wide hull and upright bow, the boat's layout makes the most of every square meter on board.

There are four cabins on the lower deck, including a very spacious owner's suite at midships. In the bow, there is a cabin for four crew members. The garage can accommodate a four-metre tender and a jet ski.

The main distinguishing feature of the Arcadia 85S from the standard version is the new panoramic lounge that transforms into a fully wind-protected third deck with opening windows.

The first hull of the special version features increased soundproofing thanks to the replacement of polyvinyl chloride in the bow by a balsa composite construction. The advanced semi-displacement hull provides for efficient navigation with a lightweight aluminium superstructure. Reduced weight has resulted in lower fuel consumption and engine maintenance costs.

The 25.9m Arcadia 85S will displace 67 tons. It is driven by two MAN R6 engines with 730 hp each. (1000 hp is available as an option). She has a maximum speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 16 knots and at 12 knots she can travel up to 850 nautical miles.

Like the shipyard's other yachts, the novelty is equipped with solar panels.

They generate up to 3.5 kW of energy, enough to power most of the equipment and electronics including refrigerators, water purification system, sanitary facilities and so on.
