Feadship has launched the 92m superyacht Aquarius at its facility in Alsmer.
This all-custom boat has been created in partnership with a very experienced owner who has had 50-metre and 60-metre yachts from other well-known shipyards in his garage.
«The client is a successful player in the hospitality industry and is very ambitious when it comes to his personal items. It was a pleasure working with him on this phenomenal project»," says Feadship CEO Henk de Vries.
The exterior of Aquarius is contemporary in style while retaining certain Feadship heritage features such as the traditionally shaped bow and bevelled superstructure. Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design of the Netherlands was responsible for the exterior styling and the interior has been designed by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects in collaboration with the owner's design team.
The interiors and layout of Aquarius reflect the owner's experience in running a hospitality business. She has a very elaborate system of galley, storerooms and crew quarters (including 14 cabins for 31 guests). The 6 guest cabins are designed to the highest standards of luxury accommodation.
Feadship is confident that the sea trials will strengthen Aquarius as not only the brightest but also the quietest yacht. She is powered by twin MTU 16V4000M63L and will cruise at a maximum speed of 17 knots. At a cruising speed of 12 knots, this 92-meter yacht has a range of 5,500 miles.
