New photos of the 142.81-metre yacht under construction at Nobiskrug shipyard for Russian businessman Andrei Melnichenko show that work on it is nearing completion.
The sailing yacht «A» has been re-launched at Nobiskrug docks in Kiel.
The giant sailboat, recently repainted grey, was photographed while being towed to the dry dock in preparation for her imminent handover to her owner.
For the first time a nameplate can be seen on the transom of the megayacht.
The rigging and keel of the sailing superyacht «A» has been designed by Dykstra Naval Architects while her unique exterior design was created by Philippe Starck, who has worked on another famous Andrey Melnichenko yacht, the motor yacht «A». The 90-meter masts for one of the largest private sailing yachts in the world were built by British Magma Structures. It is scheduled to be handed over to the owner in 2017.
