US authorities have seized the 66-metre Natita superyacht for the owner's loan debts.

The owner of Natita, US oil tycoon William Kallop, took a $32 million loan from Goldman Sachs in 2014, secured by two of his superyachts. In addition to Natita, the 57-metre Bad Girl was also mortgaged.

In November 2016, according to the bank, Cullop stopped making monthly payments, although he still owed another $28 million.

Not only did the oil tycoon not pay his bankers, but also his own crew.

Only recently, Kallop's crew of three and the captain was able to get through the court delayed wages totaling $ 90 thousand.

Goldman took possession of the mortgaged yacht through the courts. Goldman's first act as the new owner was to purchase fuel for $67k to keep the generator running.

It should be noted that the previous owner had already sold Natita. Natita was originally valued at $57.5 million but has now dropped to $39.9 million. Despite the transfer to Goldman Sachs, the yacht is still for sale, representatives of the brokers Burgess and Worth Avenue Yachts confirmed to Boat International.

William Cullop bought Natita in 2010 for €59.9 million from the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov.

In 2005, when the yacht was launched by Oceanco, it bore the name Dilbar. In 2008, Usmanov renamed Dilbar to Ona, freeing up the name for a new, more luxurious 110-metre yacht from Lurssen. Now the Dilbar name has moved to the 156-metre vessel, which Lurssen delivered to Usmanov in 2016.
