Swedish company Nimbus presented a new, developed from scratch series of Weekender boats. The first model in the new range is the Weekender 9(W9), a nine-metre weekend boat that can accommodate up to four people overnight. «Nice outline of the boat bears family features of many classic Nimbus» - connoisseurs will find references to half a dozen different models of the company, from 21 DC to 305 Drophead.
In the small size the Swedes managed to include side aisles along the boards, double fore stateroom with toilet, and in the cockpit - the galley on the port side with a cupboard and a refrigerator of 65-liter volume. A large L-shaped sofa can be converted into a double bed.
Both fixed and outboard engines are available. Maximum power can be up to 350 horsepower, and the boat can reach speeds in excess of 40 knots.
The Weekender 9 is the first model in the new series, which will be available in three lengths (8, 9 and 11m) and three versions for different usage scenarios. The Weekender models (W9, W11) are designed for family recreation and day trips, the Tender (T8, T9, T11) for day use, passenger transportation and water sports, and the Commuter family (C8, C9, C11) for year-round use.
