Swiss boat with an Italian look - at Cannes

One of the boats that will be interesting to look at at the upcoming Cannes boat show comes from the mighty maritime powerhouse of Switzerland. At least that's where Adler Yachts is headquartered in Zug and is bringing the updated Suprema 76 to Cannes.

The boat is interesting not only for its origin but also for the fact that it is fully made of carbon fiber including propellers (!) and for its hybrid propulsion system. The combination of Caterpillar diesels (2×1150 hp) and ATE electric motors (2×100 kW) enable her to consume 11 liters of fuel per hour at 8 knots - recall that this is a 23.11 m long boat, designed for 9 guests and two crew members. In this mode, one refueling is sufficient for 3500 miles - quite enough to cross the Atlantic. When you don't have time to cross the Atlantic and don't want to be on time for a seaside restaurant, you can go as fast as 30 knots.

The exterior and interior designs are by the Italian Nuvolari Lenard, best known for its mega-yacht designs for the Lurssen and Oceanco shipyards. In particular Alfa Nero and Vibrant Curiosity are their work. It will be all the more interesting to see what they have done «on the small canvas».
