The unconventional and ambitious brand Arcadia Yachts is once again delighting its fans. Yesterday in Cannes the shipyard unveiled a design for a 47-metre steel vessel that will open the new Gamma FOR.TH range.

Designed by Milan-based studio Hot Lab, the first FOR.TH (short for Forward Thinking) has an aggressive exterior styling but retains the familiar Arcadia handwriting.

In particular the project boasts the incredible hull glazing that has become a hallmark of the yard. Combined with the generous outdoor lounging areas it gives an airy effect to the boat's interiors.

Other familiar features of Arcadia include the solar panels which emphasize the brand's dedication to environmental stewardship.

The 500 gross ton yacht can accommodate 4 guest cabins on the lower deck and a 51 square meter owner's stateroom. Aft there is a gymnasium with panoramic windows. A huge glass sliding door leads from the saloon to the open-air lounge area.

Additionally, the shipyard is set to launch the new Sherpa 72. Together with the existing 55-footer, this will constitute a new range of yachts.

The brand plans to create a bulkier, uncompromising version of the boat, while retaining its key advantageous features. Arcadia reports that the 72-foot Sherpa will be ready within the next 18 months.

To finally «put» in order in its lineup, the yard has consolidated all other boats into the Gamma A line.
