Canados shipyard has announced a new contract: the Italians have managed to sell another yacht under the new Oceanic Yachts brand, the 140-foot Oceanic (DiElec). The company will deliver the yacht to the owner in early 2015. She will later be unveiled to the public at several boat shows.
The fuel-efficient Oceanic 140 eats very little: you can cross the Atlantic on one tank. At roughly 8 knots - under diesel-electric propulsion. Or at a top speed of 27 knots, using only diesel. But in this case, the yacht will have to be hauled away to one of the nearby ports for refueling.
On Oceanic's 140-footer, she can comfortably accommodate an enormous tender or jet ski.
