Nautor's Swan sales are up 26% for 2018

Finnish shipyard Nautor's Swan has summed up the financial results of the past year and made a forecast for the future. According to the company's experts analyzed by TRADE ONLY TODAY, its sales increased by 26% in 2018.

In 2019, this figure could reach 50% if the expected deals worth more than $136 million PROVE successfully.

These figures were obtained by the company as a result of the implementation of a three-year development plan. It included the launch of three product lines, new product improvement initiatives and reorganization of production processes.

In 2018, 11 boats were handed over to owners. Today, six models are under construction at the yard, including the Swan 48, which was unveiled during the Boot Düsseldorf show.

In 2019, the company intends to deliver 20 boards to the owners.

As for the company's overall development, Nautor's Swan is going to move three production points to its new Shipbuilding Technology Center in the first quarter of this year. More than $11.3 million will be invested in a high-tech sputtering room and a state-of-the-art composite casting shop. The Finnish shipyard will now have composite specialists from SRG to build the boats while Torqeedo/BMW colleagues will participate in the development of the electric propulsion system for the ClubSwan 36.

Nautor's Swan has already relaunched its Malorca(Balearic Islands) based customer service in the Mediterranean region and upgraded its shipyard in Badalona, Spain. The network of service centres, fully and directly controlled from the company's headquarters and authorised service centres, will continue to expand in the new year.
