«America's Cup» in Auckland: visualization

It appears that despite rumours of a lack of funding, the oldest regatta will still take place where originally planned. This is evidenced by renderings and video visualisations of Emirates Team New Zealand's plans to build an America's Cup racing village in Weitamata Bay. This was not originally envisaged as a 60-80m extension of Hasley Wharf to make a superyacht marina, but an alternative project that has been rendered is for a minimal extension of the wharf. The 700m race village will occupy Viaduct Harbour and Wynyard Wharf. Team bases will be open to the public. The media centre will be located in the Viaduct exhibition complex. Two superyacht marinas are envisaged within the Race Village, one of which is adjacent to the J-Class yacht marina.
