World Championship in Olympic kiteboarding classes ended in Aarhus. More than 1400 athletes from 85 countries competed for the victory and Olympic licenses in changing and often unpredictable winds.
Out of Russians, only Stefania Elfutina (RS:X class) managed to get a pass to the Olympics. Our kiteboarders performed very well - Elena Kalinina won silver and Denis Taradin got into the top ten. Olympic licenses in kitesurfing have not yet been raffled off: the class will be included in the Olympics program only in 2024.
Pedro Martinez from Sailing Energy, as always, took a lot of beautiful shots at the Aarhus regatta and you can see them on his Facebook page. We've chosen a couple of tender shots which prove that sailing is not only about competition but also about love.
