The magnificent Dilbar, a 156-metre superyacht of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov, has docked at the Imeretinsky yacht port in Sochi. The boat is moored close to the New Wave Hall, the concert hall where the «New Wave music competition is taking place from September 4 to 9».

Dilbar is the largest yacht ever hosted by the port of Sochi. Three years ago this honorary title was held by 147m Topaz of Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

However, it is not her length that makes Dilbar such a trump card. «After all Usmanov's boat is a modest» fourth on the list of the world's largest yachts, 6.5 metres shorter than Roman Abramovich's Eclipse. Where Dilbar is truly unrivalled is in its interior volumes. Usmanov has created the most spacious yacht in the world, forcing the naval architects to find a solution to the tricky problem of how to squeeze 15,917 gross tons into a 156 metre long vessel. Thanks to the efforts of designers Espen Oino and Andrew Winch, and the Lurssen yard team, number 10 on Forbes' list of Russia's richest men can enjoy a 180 cubic metre indoor pool, one of the largest in yacht building history. In addition to all of the above, Dilbar is equipped with the most powerful diesel-electric propulsion system ever used on a private vessel and can accelerate to 22.5 knots.
