On June 1, sailinganarchy.com published a photo of the abandoned legendary Soviet yacht "Fazisi". According to site information the boat that took part in Whitbread regatta in 1989-1990 was left unattended in a storm, dropped anchor in 30-knot wind and ran aground in Brooklyn near GatewayMarina. The photo was reposted by Vladislav Murnikov, a Fazisi designer who recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of the launch in Moscow. One of the users commented on the photo said that "Fazisi" was not grounded at all, but was purposefully put at an angle for repairs. According to the commenter, the boat is being prepared for the Long Island Regatta, which starts in July.
