Almost a year after its launch Feadship has released photographs of the 83.5-metre Savannah. The manufacturer is calling Savannah the world's first hybrid superyacht. The Wärtsilä 9L20 four-stroke diesel engine produces 1800 kW to three Caterpillar generators that in turn charge the lithium-ion batteries that power the propellers. The hull superstructure uses glass, composite panels, polished stainless steel strips, aluminium supports and teak. According to Superyachtfan.com the owner of Savannah is Swedish oil tycoon Lukas Lundin.
