Dutch shipyard. Moonen Shipyards signed a contract to build the Moonen 133 hull, which will be the largest superyacht in the company's history. Work on the 40-meter boat has already started, but the launch is still far from over - it is scheduled for 2012. The Moonen 133 will be the smallest boat in the world with a two-seater submarine with a depth of 100 meters.

As for the appearance and architecture of the boat, the design team led by a famous ship architect René van der Veldenom got an interesting "crossover from the crossover." In one case, the authors managed to combine the features of three styles. Here you will find both a tightly knocked down expedition ship and an ultramodern superyacht, all seasoned with harmoniously inscribed elements of the classic yachting style.

The result is an elegant boat with a low silhouette, excellent seaworthiness and a huge range. Originally planned to be a longer yacht, the desire to be able to enter tight spaces where large dreadnoughts have been ordered has won. Another pleasant consequence of this prudence is that the Moonen 133 remains a truly family yacht with a very small crew of only 6-7 people.

For a 40-metre yacht, the new Moonen has an amazing interior space with six guest cabins. The owner's stateroom, as usual, extends the full width of the hull at the front and flooded with light through huge windows.

There is ample space on deck for a huge tender, which can be launched from any side using a powerful central crane. The highlight of the program, the mini-submarine, is launched hydraulically. After lowering the submarine, a large bathing platform and a spacious "back room" for fishing equipment and jet skis are released aft.

The interior of the novelty is developed by the leading Dutch studio Art Line in close personal cooperation with the client. The debutante's "first ball" is planned for 2012 at the right place - the Monaco Yacht Show. Even data is available on the future name of the newborn - Sofia III.

A characteristic feature here is that the new flagship is being built for a regular client of the yard who already owns two noteworthy pieces, the Moonen 84 and the Moonen 97. Such "love and loyalty stories" are quite typical for Moonen and their clients all over the world, including Russian comrades.

In Russia, this love, it seems, is of the same kind as the passion for Land Cruisers, Range Rovers and Mercedes Squares. "Ferrari and Lamborghini... I mean, pardon, Pershingi and Rivas - it's fast and beautiful, but a bit for our reality. Those whose expectations of a weekend on the boat near Moscow have already gone beyond a couple of "shotshots" from airlock to airlock, have long appreciated the charm of reliable, calm and bearing Dutch. "Who understood life..." Well, you know.
