Dark Shadow is one of the early projects of the Wally 100-footer when the company was still looking for a design. Her deck is not overly minimalistic as on later models but the interior is definitely too much on the nose, almost all in black and white. A very unusual feature of the boat is its 13-meter tender that could be more accurately called a "base ship". It has a cabin that accommodates five people and is capable of developing quite high speeds. Often it is used to send a full crew to meet the yacht at the port of destination, while the guests (the owner himself at the helm) enjoy the privacy of having no crew on board. Another "feature" of the yacht is her cook Annina Zaini, an excellent chef who hardly eats anything herself as she is severely allergic to any proteins. She keeps to a special diet and judges her food only by its smell. In spite of this, no one has ever complained about a bad meal on board!
