Barbara has been on the market for several years and as of early 2020, still no buyer has been found. The name is believed to refer to Varvara, the name of one of the owner's daughters.
Exterior and interior design
«Barbara» is not two peas in a pod, but is very similar to «Nirvana» and «Anastasia» - another current and former owner's boat, at least they all share the same dark blue hull and the wooden panel on the back.
In terms of exterior design, however, Barbara differs from the other two boats in the more rounded (closer to elliptical) shapes of the mirrors and the flowing lines of the decks.
The interiors are finished with such amazingly rare and expensive materials like frog and fugu fish skin, Asian buffalo horn.
There are basically a lot of unique solutions if we continue talking about the interior design. For example, the elevator «is wrapped around» with tree roots (actually, they are not roots at all, but teak props).
Onboard amenities
Like every other vessel on the Barbara, which has been custom-built by an experienced yachtsman, she has an aquarium with exotic fish, which makes the main saloon an even more relaxing environment.
The master suite with fold-out side balconies and an owner's study with 3.5-meter ceilings deserves special mention. A round window is made in the ceiling above the large double bed.
One of the favorites of the guests is the open-air movie theater on the deck, which can also be converted to a helicopter landing pad if necessary.
Features
The two forward staterooms can transform into a spacious VIP suite or a second master stateroom for greater versatility of use both when chartering and when numerous guests are on board.
