Tenaz was launched as Mamamouchi in 1996 as a high-end charter boat: like all the yachts designed by Ed Dubois, she has very high speed characteristics. Her current owner, an experienced English yachtsman who bought her in 2006 to sail around the world, started with an extensive refit, investing €3.5 million, a lot more than most of his money. He sailed her around the world, then entered her in the 2010 Mallorca Super Yacht Cup. After those races, the owner did another big refit on the yacht. The yacht has a simple and elegant light-colored interior.
