Category Description

A hard roof, or in another way hardtop, makes it possible to place the antenna, radar, but first of all, of course, protects passengers from sun and rain. This shelter is much more reliable than a bimini, which in windy weather can behave like a parachute and cause more trouble than one would like.

Although any hardtop boat is a hardtop boat, there are some subtleties. The saloon, which covers the rigid roof, can be tightly closed off from the cockpit, in which case the boat is reliably protected from the weather and is perfect for cold water areas. A more compromise version is a boat with a semi-closed saloon, where the owner does not plan to go out for walks in harsh conditions, but still wants to have a roof over his head without being closed from the fresh air. The main place of rest on such a boat is, as a rule, a salon with a table and an U-shaped sofa. There are variants with an opening hatch in the roof - then the skipper will ride with the breeze.

Typically, these boats have a small cabin and other amenities that make the water a few hours comfortable.
