The Hanse 495 is (along with the 545 and 415 models) a new generation of Hanse yachts that retains all the main features - particularly the high speed qualities - and brings new ideas for interior decoration and layout. Of particular note is the well-thought-out galley with many options and many small improvements. An important point in the development of the Hanse range was the introduction of the SMS (Smart Mooring System) on the 495 model, which integrates the bow and stern retractable bow thrusters and the main engine and allows the yacht to be controlled when mooring during the mooring process.
