Galeon 560 Fly Overview

The Galeon 560 Fly made its world debut at the Miami Boat Show 2023. It replaces the older 550 model, introducing fresh design elements by Tony Castro. The yacht features three cabins, twin shaft drives, and an abundance of glass, enhancing its modern aesthetic.

Exterior

The teak detailing on the bathing platform adds a touch of class, with steps integrated into the platform for easy access to the water. A flip-down bench on the transom provides a comfortable spot to enjoy the view. The hydraulic platform lowers into the water, creating a convenient stairway.

The yacht features access only on the port side, maximizing space for the L-shaped seating. The balconies are a highlight, now with glass insets for an unobstructed view. The sliding doors and pop-up sections extend the galley counter, creating a bar feel. High backrests on the dinette enhance comfort.

The balconies have railings for added safety and glass insets that provide a seamless connection with the water when lowered. Boarding gates on both sides allow easy access to the key side without using the bathing platform.

The side decks are wide and easy to navigate, with substantial guardrails for safety. The foredeck features a fixed bench and sunbathing space, with backrests that flip to create different seating arrangements. A skylight and strip of glazing add natural light and ventilation to the VIP cabin below.

The Flybridge offers a mix of freestanding and fixed furniture, including Galeon sun lounges and U-shaped seating areas. The tables can join together for a large dining space, and the two-way backrests add flexibility. The helm station is ergonomic, with controls conveniently placed for ease of use.

Upper Helm Station

The helm station features two Raymarine MFDs, a Volvo Penta screen, and hard buttons for essential functions. The boat is powered by Volvo Penta D11 725 engines, providing a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising range of 250 nautical miles at 25 knots.

Interior

The interior design includes a practical galley with a large sink, induction cooking, and ample storage. The connection between indoor and outdoor spaces is seamless, with a spacious breakfast dinette and comfortable seating areas. The lower helm station offers excellent visibility and access to the side door for ventilation and quick deck access.

The yacht has three cabins, with doubles at each end and a twin on the starboard side. The VIP cabin benefits from the shovel-nose design, offering extra volume and headroom. The owner's cabin is amidships, featuring luxurious materials, a spacious layout, and a well-appointed ensuite bathroom.

The crew cabin is surprisingly spacious, with air conditioning, a worktop, a sink, and two berths. The separate bathroom includes a washer and dryer. Access to the engine room is through a watertight door, providing easy maintenance and inspection.

The engine room offers good access to the engines, generator, and other systems. The insulation and lighting are well-designed, ensuring a clean and efficient space.

The Galeon 560 Fly combines modern design, practical features, and luxurious comfort. It continues to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in a mid-50-foot Flybridge yacht.
