Salona 44 was a further development of the ideas behind the previous model Salona 45. It is a stylish cruiser of Mediterranean architecture (with a large open cockpit), designed for both cruising and racing. Compared to its predecessor, the Salona 44 has a noticeably larger sailing area, which has significantly improved its performance in low winds.
The hull of the boat was noticeably extended aft, which added stability to the strong wind. The layout of the interior is not striking in any way special novelty, but very well adapted for a long life on board.
