The Jonmeri 48 was conceived as a model of long-distance cruisers, in which Finnish shipbuilders tried to concentrate the best of their experience. Architecturally, the boat is a hybrid of classic European architecture and a pilot house construction (with an outstanding wheelhouse). The low deckhouse, which completes the elongated superstructure, conceals the internal control post together with the navigating table, thus representing a natural running bridge«.
Particular attention was paid to the reliability of the hull, in which unidirectional fibres of glass fabrics are abundantly used. A large part of common things are of larger size, which increases their service life and overall reliability of the boat.
