Mangusta 80 Overview
Despite her impressive size, the Mangusta 80 is one of the smallest yachts in the Overmarine range. It is also the last boat in the range to feature Arneson Surface Drive (ASD) semi-submersible propellers.
More and more large Overmarine sports yachts are equipped with water cannons. The shipyard believes water cannons are preferable in terms of efficiency and noise reduction, but for a yacht of this size they will still be too heavy and bulky.
The ASD maximizes the yacht's useful space and dynamic properties: two engines, 2400 hp each, and a 25-meter flywheel can reach 45 knots. If you want even more drive, stand behind the helm of the Mangusta 80. The engineers have taken care of excellent visibility, an informative steering wheel and comfortable seats.
At maximum, the Mangusta 80 has a range of only about 250 miles, but that's enough for breakfast in Cannes, lunch in Corsica and an evening cocktail in Genoa or Saint-Tropez.
But back to home amenities. The main deck of the Mangusta 80 features a cosy, respectable saloon and cockpit, as well as a sun deck for the bow. The living deck is available in two versions: with a small crew cabin in the bow, or with a real«crew-message» dedicated to a separate compartment with galley and other amenities.
