The Southerly 42 RST is one of the shipyard's most successful models, designed by Robert Humphrey, who laid the foundations for Southerly's signature style and design features. The boat features good speed performance, high wind speeds, large interior volumes.
The salon of the yacht is very unusual and looks "two-storey": on the starboard side there is a "long" galley below, on the left side there is a C-shaped sofa with a folding table raised to the "second floor". This is a bit unusual at first glance, but quite convenient in practice - the yacht is partly close to what is commonly called a raised saloon.
