The look of Discovery 58, like that of other boats of the brand, is considered somewhat outdated by some. However, Discovery Yachts firmly occupy its niche in the blue water «cruiser» market, putting practicality above fashion. Like the younger model 55, the yacht was designed by Ron Holland and has been in production since 2015.
Amenities on board
Discovery Live Deck 58 offers 3-cabin accommodation. Instead of a technical room, a fourth cabin can be arranged. For long journeys it is important where to store supplies - the yacht can carry 1300 liters of fuel and 1000 liters of water. The volume of refrigerators is almost 500 liters. The cabins have tall deep cupboards, under the floor in the saloon and the galley is a grocery store. The engine and generator are carefully soundproofed.
Features
The appeal of this yacht lies in its exhaustive content, specially designed for the cruising couple. Owners can now choose between one or two handwheels. This option is a great rarity for yachts with a central cockpit. The reliability of a yacht is beyond doubt. Ten tons of lead in Discovery 58 ballast is equivalent to a 45 foot Beneteau cast in a keel. For impact resistance, a Kevlar fairing is provided around the waterline and four watertight bulkheads are mounted inside the case. The two front sails on the twist and the mainsail curling into the mast (all electrically) are ideal for a minimal crew.
Swimming area
The yacht can be operated in any water area. On Discovery 58 everything is done for a pleasant safe journey anywhere in the world - 50 happy owners of this model have already confirmed this point.
