Louis Vuitton Cup races in Bermuda

The Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series saw AC45 catamarans compete against each other for the first time in the waters of the 35th «America's Cup».

The first day ended in disappointment as the race had to be cancelled after three hours of winds. The tougher of times was the second day of racing, with the teams scoring twice as many points as they could muster. «A breeze of 10-14 knots created perfect conditions for the AC45 catamarans».

Artemis Racing's flight was interrupted right at the start of the second race: the pink Rib decided to cross the start line in the wrong direction (against the current) and the catamaran collided with it, sustaining damage that required a repair crew to be called and repaired.

The Judging Committee postponed the start. In response, the indomitable Nathan Outridge and his team won not only that race but the entire event, ending up in fourth place overall. Team New Zealand remained in the points lead, chased by Oracle Team USA and Ben Ainslie's BAR team.
