Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has announced the expansion of its model range after selling the first two hulls of the new Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy series.

The Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy is a 44-metre displacement aluminium superyacht.

One of the unique features of this model is the possibility to create a split-level master stateroom with access to a private foredeck.

An alternative layout option allows the master suite to be moved forward on the upper deck and thus provides a completely private area for the owner.

The interior volume of the new yacht is significantly larger than that of the previous Sanlorenzo 40 Alloy. Among other important characteristics, the yacht has a beam of 8.9 metres and a maximum draught of 2.3 metres.

Thanks to the MTU diesel engine, the yacht can reach a top speed of 23 knots and a calm cruising speed of 21 knots. No further details, such as total seating capacity, are yet available at this stage.

The Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy is currently under construction at La Spezia. The yacht has been developed in collaboration with the design studio Zuccon International Project, and for Sanlorenzo this is the first project with them.

Massimo Perotti, chairman and CEO of Sanlorenzo, explains: «I enjoy watching the birth of the new model, working with my colleagues on the sketches, discussing every detail and striving to improve over and over again, until we finally see the actual project and complete it, together with the owner, who entrusted us with realizing his dream. And of course the most rewarding moment is seeing the boat exactly as we imagined it».
The first Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy will be launched in 2020

Among other projects that the Italian shipyard is currently developing is the Sanlorenzo 64 Steel, which will be launched in La Spezia in 2019 as the flagship model.
