The first experimental project of the Wally and Ferretti Group did not have to wait long for the 48 Wallytender. The premiere of this stylish day cruiser took place at Boot Düsseldorf following the announcement that Wally will become part of the Ferretti Group.

The Wallytender pioneered a class of large tenders that did not exist before. The Wallytender concept isa Ranabout, ideal for day or night cruising and not just a support vessel for a large yacht.

«The new 48 Wallytender is proof that our DNA remains and within the partnership with the Ferretti Group»," saysLuca Bassani, founder of Wally.

Like all Wallys, the debutant 48 Wallytender is fast, stylish, spacious and safe. But with increased usable space and additional storage space.

To make the space bigger, the designers increased the height of the superstructure. The good news is that in doing so, the boat didn't lose any elegance of its hull lines.

As a result, the Wallytender has a stateroom and a bathroom. The galley is equipped with a galley with two refrigerators, one inside and one outside, making it suitable for family weekends.

Every detail on the Wallytender 48 has been thought out for maximum comfort. The aft seats are made to swivel. When the boat is in motion, guests can sit facing forward; when at anchor, they face the dining table. The gangway serves as a bathing ladder.

The sunbathing lounge aft is completely raised, allowing access to the engine compartment. Folding it back allows to open the top part only, instead of the entire compartment, and to enter the stowage box. Under the sunpad on the bow we'll find even more space for miscellaneous stuff and even a locker room for water toys, like for example, an inflatable SUP-board. «The diving rope and other dive gear is in a stash at», behind the helmsman's seat.

In addition to the hardtop, the bimini, supported by carbon fiber racks, acts as a sun block, stowed under the sunpad in the bow, when not needed.

Another nice feature is the foldable bulwarks, which increase the area of the swim platform.

A special Besenzoni anchor system is included in the equipment list and is controlled with the press of a button on the control station. An additional gyroscopic stabilizer can be placed in a separate technical compartment, where electrical distribution panels are also located (the latter were specially removed from the engine compartment to avoid overheating).

A pair of Volvo IPS 650 engines will provide the Wallytender with a top speed of 38 knots.
