Moscow will take part in the worldwide charity race Bart's Bash

On Sunday, September 21, a race dedicated to the memory of yachtsman Andrew Simpson will be held in Moscow. A special feature of the event, dubbed the Bart's Bash, is that it will be staged all over the world on the same day.

The aggregate length of all distances will allow the race to enter the «Guinness Book of Records» and become the longest race held overnight in several water areas.

On the territory of Russia the water area hosting the event will be the Royal Yacht Club. The competition is to begin at 12:00. The Russian Bart's Bash is organized by ProYachting company.

Ekaterina Skudina's master class for young yachtsmen will be also held within the frames of the charity event.

The event is free of charge but during the event everyone who wishes may make a donation to «Andrew Simpson Foundation» (Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation).

Recall that Andrew (Bart) Simpson tragically died on May 9, 2013 while preparing for the America's Cup «» .
