In the Bay of Dinard , on the opposite side of Saint-Maloin Brittany, the tidal range is almost ten metres. This makes it quite difficult to find a place to anchor safely. The overnight storm increased the tide even further and as a result, the boat moored for the night at the buoy was wedged between the rocks. The owner waited for the tide to come in and found that the boat had not sustained any serious damage. Lucky.
