History of the company

The Alphena Yachts shipyard appeared in 2007. Bruno Mottet, the founder of Alphena Yachts, had as his main goal the creation of cruising yachts that incorporated the best of offshore racing boats, their reliability and dynamic properties.

The technical team of the new company consisted of the famous offshore driver Loïck Peyron, as well as architects Tanguy Le Bihan and Antoine Fritsch. The company specialized in the construction of dealers.

Alphena yachts have been built on four basic principles: efficiency, creating a vibrant sailing experience, elegance and respect for the environment.

The first 8.5 m Alphena One was produced from 2008 to about 2013, the other 12 m Alphena Three was produced in just a few copies.

In 2012, Alphena Yachts was taken over by the XCO Development Group, which was then the owner of the French yard Latitude 46. The owner of XCO, Christian Iscovici, intended to develop Alphena and innovative design ideas using the experience of the same Luc Perron and Tangi Le Bian. However, in 2013, XCO Development Group also went bankrupt and was sold to the French company Experton-Revollier SA, which preferred other brands Tofinou and Wauquiez. Since then, the continued development of Alphena Yachts has not been mentioned.

Status .

No production is taking place after 2012. Alphena Yachts models appear on the secondary market from time to time.

Production

The Alphena Yachts production facility was located in western France in Lorraine.

Model range

The Alphena Yachts range of models includes Dealers and Cabin Sport Cruisers in a glass composite hull 8-12m.

Features

Alphena yachts are versatile and suitable for both crew and solo sailing. With a large area of sailing equipment, the yachts show excellent results in terms of speed, easily reaching the waxing.
