Company history

Hanseatic Marine, which later became Silver Yachts, was founded in 2005 by entrepreneur Guido Krass in Fremantle, Australia. The shipyard immediately took over the production of large premium boats and in 2007 launched Silver Yachts (now Rabdan). The 73 metre yacht was the world's largest all-aluminium built at the time.

The world-famous architect and designer Espen Øino started working with the shipyard from the very first days of its foundation. As one of the visionaries of the superyacht industry, he played an important role in the creation of the Silver «Fleet.

In 2017, the shipyard changed its owner and China Zhongwang, a Chinese state corporation, became the new owner of the yacht and purchased a controlling interest.

Production .

The factory, located in Fremantle, employs over 150 highly qualified professionals. Thus each step of production process occurs under one roof. The modern shipyard occupies about 6000 sq.m. and includes two assembly hangars, a finishing shop, office space and workshops.

The company also has an elevator capable of lifting boats up to 140 meters long and weighing up to 8000 tons out of water. The company offers customers a full range of services in yacht construction - from design sketches to launching.

According to the management of China Zhongwang, a new plant in China is planned to be launched soon, which will help the shipyard to increase its production capacity and enter the Asian market.

Fleet .

Silver Yachts builds luxury aluminium superyachts from 73 to 100 metres in length. The company pays special attention to productivity, comfort and speed of models. Therefore yachts of fleet represent a worthy compromise for fans of fast boats and long trips.

The shipyard is currently building its fifth boat, an 85m Explorer-class yacht, the Silver Loft. She is scheduled for launch in 2019. The boat will be able to travel up to 4500 nautical miles at 18 knots, which is considered a good indicator for megayachts.

Features

The shipyard's high seaworthiness is achieved by applying the latest developments in computer modeling. The company uses specialized software from third parties as well as its own. Thus designing is not limited to virtual calculations.

In the next stage, a model is created which is tested in a special pool. Only after all the faults have been removed do the engineers start production.
