About
Company history
In 1999, a second generation ship, Kevin Keith, together with the famous American businessman Lester Miller, founded the Newcastle Marine Shipyard. They converted an old shipyard in Florida's Palm Coast and started building custom ocean-class ships.
The first 102-foot Expedition was presented in 2001 at the Fort Lauderdale International Show. Just a month later, the ship found its owner. In 2006 Kevin decided to merge the company with his father's shipyard. The firm became famous for its casino and restaurant vessels and for its private orders.
Status
It's working. After the merger, the joint venture was named Newcastle Shipyard.
Production
In the early years after the merger, the shipyard owned two separate manufacturing facilities: in Palm Coast and Tent City, Florida. Later, however, the first had to be abandoned. The modern facility is located on the banks of the St. John's River, which flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The shipyard has the capacity to build vessels up to 90 meters long.
Fleet .
In the shipyard's portfolio the private fleet is represented by expedition superyachts. All the boats of the shipbuilder are made of steel and have no limitations in terms of navigation regions. Each boat is able to overcome transatlantic distances and even more.
Features
Newcastle is respected by fans of Explorers for its reliability. About the ships of the shipyard it is possible to tell without exaggeration that they are prepared for absolutely any weather conditions. One of the yachts of the shipbuilder even managed to survive the tsunami.
