The history of the company

The ambitious Italian company Viareggio SuperYachts started its work in 2004. She settled in Viareggio, a place where many famous shipbuilders were born. The shipyard is exclusively engaged in the creation of large custom yachts.

The company was able to achieve fame not without the help of the studio of Espen Øino, who helped the shipyard to create an individual style of boats. He is now involved in every project. Viareggio SuperYachts also attracts attention with the active implementation of green technologies. The company has won prestigious awards for this.

The Waterecho superyacht concept was presented at the 2018 international exhibition in Monaco. Instead of the traditional diesel propulsion system, it will be equipped with an engine running on hydrogen. The shipyard plans to join forces with Siemens to make the project a reality.

Production

The production facilities and head office of the company are located in Viareggio on the Mediterranean coast. High-tech stuffing, positioning and automation systems are supplied by a longstanding partner of the yard - Norwegian Kongsberg Maritime.

At building of new boats the company tries to use recyclable materials, applies systems of reduction of heat from power installations, installs modern filters and auxiliary electric motors.

Fleet

The shipyard's portfolio includes models from 62 to 72 metres in length. All the boats have received strong and reliable steel hulls and superstructures are made of lighter aluminum.

The yard's megayachts are primarily designed for performance and economy, so they are more autonomous.

For such boats, the norm is to overcome 4500-5000 nautical miles in one tank.

The shipyard is also planning more serious projects, such as the construction of a mega-yacht 105 meters long with 11 cabins, including the owner's suite on a separate deck. A small «liner for» 43 crew members is served.
