Company history

The history of the famous Italian shipyard Rodriquez Yachts began in 1887 in Messina, Sicily. Then Leopoldo Rodriquez opened the shipyard and started building small boats. The company encountered many difficulties on its way. First a powerful earthquake in 1908, which halved the city's population, then the First and then World War II.

The shipyard owns many achievements in the shipbuilding industry, especially the company distinguished itself in the construction of hydrofoils.

But Rodriquez Yachts took up boating for private clients only in 2001.

With a wealth of experience in building large vessels, the management decided to focus on superyachts. At the same time Rodriquez was actively growing up. In 2002 the yards Conam and Intermarine were bought out.

Until 2008, the shipyard was doing well, but the crisis that began forced Rodriquez Yachts to leave the superyacht market for the military and transport sectors.

For the construction of its boats, the shipyard used the capacities of five factories located in Italy and Brazil. The total area of the plants was about 170,000 square meters, of which 58,000 were covered areas.

Rodriquez boats have an unusual design, they are difficult to confuse with models of other manufacturers. The company's portfolio includes fiberglass and aluminum boats with lengths from 36 to 41 meters. The flagship of the yard was the 41-meter Ocean Emerald, launched in 2009.
