Company history

CIM (Constructions Industrielles et Maritimes) was founded in 1986 and specialized in the construction and maintenance of maxi yachts. In 20 years of activity, the company has built 13 sailing yachts over 24 m long. These include the famous yachts of its time, such as Taronga built in 1991, C'est La Vie (1988), Persistence (1992), Obsession II (2002) and Centurion (2007).

The shipyard was located on the west coast of France in the town of Rochefort, near La Rochelle. The company collaborated with designers and architects from Sparkman & Stephens, Camper & Nicholsons International, Berret Racoupeau, Studio Garroni, Pierrejean Design Studio.

In 1998, CIM launched the commercial passenger catamaran Ocean Voyager 65, designed for mass coastal cruises and capable of carrying up to 48 passengers.

In the early 2000s, the shipyard took control of the catamaran brand.Nautitechwhich was later sold to a group of companies in 2014...Bavaria.

Status

Since 2007, CIM has not built a single yacht, thus completing its activities.

Model range

Customized sailing superyachts (sloops and caches) up to 40 meters long.

Features

All the yachts produced by the shipyard were made to a custom design. Many of the CIM built sailing yachts have become history, but are still on the go and occasionally offered for sale. The yachts of this brand are reliable and able to make long ocean voyages.
