About Hardy Marine

Company history

When John Hardy founded Hardy Marine in 1976, he began building small cruisers designed by Colin Mudie. The great demand for these boats has led to a rapid increase in production and production space for the young company. In 1997, the British shipyard introduced the Hardy 36, a semi-displacement boat, designed by Andrew Wolstenholme. This was followed a few years later by Commander 32 and Commodore 42, which helped to build Hardy's reputation as a builder of reliable all-weather yachts with a high level of comfort on board. In 2004, Hardy 50 literally conquered the market and two Hardy 42s entered the fleet of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. They are used for crew training, something the shipyard is very proud of.

Status .

In 2013 Hardy Marine changed its ownership - the company was taken over by the Windboats Group, which has operated in Norfolk since 1920.

The shipyard continues its work.

Production

As at the time of its establishment, the company's production facility is located in Norfolk County, in the city of Norfolk. North Walsham.

Model range

Hardy offers customers serial and semi-custom offshore explorers in 32-65 feet of composite semi-displacement housings, with half of the models available as Deck Salon and the other half with a flybridge. Models come with a rich base kit and an impressive option list.

Features .

Hardy are yachts that go out to sea at a time when many others are trying to find shelter. This succinct wording could well have been done away with. But we will add that the design of Hardy hulls not only allows you to withstand severe weather conditions, but also provides a smooth and comfortable ride in any sea state. In calmer waters, Hardy yachts can reach up to 30 knots, which is not available to every all-weather all-terrainer Impressive autonomy is provided by default.
