Wally Indio Overview
Indio is built for Italian yachtsman and entrepreneur Andrea Recordati, who has previously ordered a yacht of the same name from Wally, only "that" Indio was noticeably shorter - "only" 80 feet. Indio is a typical Wally boat, lightweight, fast, high-tech and with a lot of clever engineering to match. Her construction makes extensive use of atypical materials, like titanium. As a result the boat has a very light displacement with a 30 meters yacht and weighs only 59 tons. The interiors are not quite typical of the Wallys, as the owner has decided not to have white topsides as is typical of modern minimalist yachting, but rather a lot of teak under lacquer. Another unusual solution was to upholster the bulkheads of the cabins in beige water-resistant suede. To reduce weight, most of the bulkheads and interior details are honeycomb-filled inside.
