History of the company

In 1963 Italian Sanzio Nicolini opened the production of executive-class boats in Ancona. The shipyard Costruzioni e Riparazioni Navali (CRN) preferred materials new at that time for private shipbuilding - steel and aluminum.

Already at the end of the 60's the yachts reached 20 meters in size and their design was guessed at first sight. It was then that the shipyard built the first series of 23m Super Conero boats, followed by larger and more prestigious boats.

Continuous collaboration with renowned design studios has also contributed to the international reputation of CRN.

Additional fame was brought by the collaboration with the legendary Carlo Riva, who ordered his personal yacht from CRN.

In 1999, the shipyard joined the Ferretti Group. By the time of its half-century anniversary in 2013, marked by dozens of prestigious awards, the shipyard had launched its 200th yacht.

Production .

The CRN plant is located in Ancona on an area of 80,000 square meters, of which 20,000 square meters are covered production areas. In addition to its own orders, CRN also builds aluminium yachts for other brands of the Ferretti Group and works closely with the design office of Studio Zuccon International Project.

Fleet

Originally the shipyard specialized only in steel and aluminium vessels, but after the merger with the Ferretti Group the company's range was expanded with composite boats. The portfolio includes both high-speed superyachts and models for transatlantic crossings in lengths from 40 to 90 meters.

CRN boats often win prizes and awards at prestigious boat shows. In 2017, the 74-metre Cloud 9 was the most well planned mega-yacht at the World Yacht Trophies, while in 2018 the 61-metre Constance won the «Voyager's Award at the World Superyacht Awards».

Features

Since its foundation, the shipyard has been constantly innovating and influencing the modern style of megayachts. She pioneered the Explorer segment with the launch of the legendary F100 in 1983.
