History of the company
In a quarter of a century, Vitters Shipyard in the Netherlands has established a reputation as one of the leading manufacturers of luxury megayachts that «»combine unrivalled luxury with high technology. The company was founded in 1990 by Dutchman Jan Vitters and initially built only hulls. However, after Louis Hamming joined the shipyard, she started building premium sailing yachts.
The firstborn was the 28m Aphrodite, launched in 1993.
Vitters' technological capabilities have been greatly enhanced by the acquisition of Green Marine, who has been building racing and high speed carbon yachts since 1982. This division later distinguished itself with the construction of yachts for the Volvo Ocean Race 2014-2015.
In 2018 Ribelle, built by Vitters, received the prestigious Boat International World Superyacht Award in the sailing yacht category for lengths from 30 to 49 metres.

The shipyard is based in the Dutch town of Zvartslejs, which, due to its excellent connection to the water system of the country, is a traditional center of private ship base. The modern manufacturing base enables Vitters to implement the most advanced technological and design solutions.

Fleet
Vitters yachts are high-speed sailing yachts with DNA of pure ocean racing sailboats and high level of comfort on board. Many features of their design came directly from prestigious offshore racing. Dubois Naval Architects is usually responsible for the design. The largest of the Vitters 2019 yachts is the 86m double mast AQuiJo, launched in 2016 and capable of sailing up to 5,300 square metres. On the opposite side of the spectrum is a fast 33-metre Carbon Ketch Inouï.
Features
Each Vitters yacht is a floating showcase of modern shipbuilding technology. Features include a fully retractable propeller column at the bottom for improved hydrodynamics, an innovative silent electro-hydraulic steering system and an invisible«anchor» system completely hidden in the hull.
