Lürssen has sold Project Elusive, a 122.5-metre motor yacht under construction in Germany. Moran Yacht & Ship brokered the deal. Delivery is set for 2030.
The published specification
The deck count has not been published yet. The designers are not named either — both lines on Moran's project page, exterior and interior, read "Confidential".
Curved lines run aft from the bow and layer over the decks above, tying bow and stern into one shape. Down at the waterline the yacht widens into a broad stern that steps through several aft terraces.
Moran's run of Lürssen hulls
The contract is signed, and Moran stays on for the whole build as project manager: checking the specification, watching over construction and fit-out, taking the yacht through sea trials to handover. Sean Moran, the brokerage's head of construction, told BOAT International that the job is to take an owner's vision and see it realised exactly as imagined, on schedule and on budget — and that more than 65 new-build projects at the world's top shipyards have taught the firm how to do it.
The list of projects Moran and Lürssen have done together runs long — Nord at 141.6 metres, Kismet at 122, Ahpo at 115.1, Tis at 111, CC-Summer at 95. Nord and Kismet are among the best-known yachts in the business. The list also holds another 122.5-metre Lürssen: Project Omega, sold through Moran in March 2025, with 5,200 GT, 20 guests in 10 cabins, and a design by the British studio RWD. The two are often confused. Both are big yachts, both are being built under Moran Yacht & Ship's watch, and Omega goes to her owner in 2029, Elusive in 2030.
A record year for Lürssen
Lürssen itself calls 2026 a record year: six yachts went to their owners in the first half alone. They are the 78.2-metre Odisea, the 134-metre Deep Blue (we covered her departure from Lemwerder), the 117-metre Boardwalk, the 114-metre Nausicaä, Marc Newson's methanol fuel-cell design known as Project COSMOS until handover, the 109-metre O3 and the 102.4-metre Nixie, handed over on 26 June.
Elusive is due in 2030.
