Company history

For four centuries Devonport shipyards have built warships for the Royal Navy. Working in the defence industry, the Babcock International Group founded Devonport Yachts in 1989. The shipyard was based in the oldest British shipyards, and the military always knew how to build large boats.

Using centuries of knowledge combined with state-of-the-art technology, the new company has focused on building megayachts.

Devonport Yachts offered a full range of services. The boats were built according to their own projects without outsourcing.

Status .

In 2010, the shipyard was sold to the company Pendennis Groupwho later renamed Devonport to Pendennis Plus.

Production .

The yard's production facilities were located at two sites in Devonport, where the company's headquarters and Appledore were also located. The latter was responsible for the construction of the hulls. Devonport's capacity allowed the construction and maintenance of yachts up to 110 meters in size and up to 10,000 tons in weight.

Fleet

The fleet of the shipyard consists of reliable steel megayachts from 60 to 110 meters long, designed for long journeys. One of the most famous boats is the 96m. Vava IIlaunched in 2011. At that time she was considered the largest superyacht ever built in the UK. It was also the latest project by Devonport Yachts.
