History of the company

Rybinsk shipyard« Vympel» played a major role in the domestic shipbuilding industry. It all started in the 30s of the last century, when a small enterprise for production of tugboats was organized in Yaroslavl region. The beginning of the Great Patriotic War forced to change the direction of the company for the defense industry.

After the end of the war, the company continued to receive orders from the defense and to build boats for various purposes for other industries. In total, the company built more than 30,000 ships, of which about 1,800 were delivered to foreign customers in Europe, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Over the past two decades, Vimpel «»has been actively developing small vessel business for private clients.

Status .

The shipyard is a part of Russia's largest Kalashnikov Concern, and at the time of writing the article in 2019 the company is active.

Production

Capacities of the shipyard located in Rybinsk allow building vessels up to 85 m long, 17 m wide and weighing up to 3000 tons. Development of models is made by own design bureau. All boats are certified according to international standards and, if necessary, Vympel «»company can pass any technical examinations.

The entire range of work is performed in the factory. Here they build cases, make interior elements, lay communication, mount knots and much more.

Model range

For the private sector «Vympel» offers multi-purpose exploratories up to 30 m long and boats. Smaller vessels include fiberglass outboard boats, bowriders, RIBs, central console boats. There are also hardtop boats with closed or semi-closed salon.
