Company history

Manitou Shipyard was founded in the United States in 1986. The company founders wanted to create new pontoon boats of decent quality and sell them at a reasonable price. Such a simple strategy allowed the small family production to take a confident position in the market and reach the international level.

The company's specialists are constantly trying to invent something new. For example, the patented V-Toon technology...^® allows you to give the pontoon the characteristics of a V-shaped housing. Manitou models can therefore compete with conventional fiberglass boats in terms of speed and manoeuvrability. Thus the volume of useful space exceeds the similar indicator at boats.

In 2018, the Canadian concern BRP bought back the Manitou shipyard.

Production

The company owns a plant that is located in Lansing, Michigan. More than 160 qualified specialists take part in the construction of boats, and its own design office works on the creation of new models.

The bulk of the boats are sold through an extensive network of dealers in the United States and Canada, which has about 150 outlets.

The Manitou Pontoon Boats range consists of self-propelled pontoons in lengths from 5 to 8.5 meters, made of aluminum. The shipyard offers its clients boats for various needs. The shipyard is ready to build universal boats, models for fishing, for lovers of trolling and measured rest.
