Company history

Cantieri Navali Lavagna Shipyard was founded in the 50s in Italy. At that time the company was building wooden boats under the brands President and Arcobaleno Super. In 1966 the company launched the new Admiral brand, which later became an iconic brand for many superyacht owners.

In the mid 70's Cantieri Navali Lavagna built the first 30-meter wooden motor yacht, followed by other ambitious projects with no less hull length.

The models revolutionized the market, as at that time the average length of a boat rarely exceeded 18 meters.

With the development of the shipbuilding industry and changing customer demands, the company began to look for new materials that are strong, lightweight and durable. In 1982, the company presented its first 23.50 metre Boule Dogue in an aluminium hull. The model was a landmark for the shipyard: it opened the era of metal for Cantieri Navali Lavagna.

Status

In 2011 Italian Sea Group bought the company and the rights to manufacture the Admiral brand. The famous brand continues to live on today, but after the merger Cantieri Navali Lavagna fell into oblivion.

Production .

The company produced boats in its own factory in Lavagna, 40 kilometres from Genoa.

The yard's portfolio includes premium semi-custom boats from 26 to 74 metres in length in steel and aluminium. Admiral models cover the entire superyacht segment, with models for transatlantic crossings and fast boats for those who love speed and comfort.
